Everton are closing in on a deal for Neftchi Baku’s 18-year-old Azerbaijan midfielder Araz Abdullayev. The player made his international debut at 16 and has already had trials with Rubin Kazan and a couple of Italian clubs. He was shown around Goodison Park last month and is hoping to move to Everton subject to a work permit.
