Goodison Park - Everton Football News

Everton announced a ban on plastic bottles being taken into seated areas of Goodison Park, which takes effect from Wednesday’s game.

The move follows incidents during the derby clash with Liverpool at the stadium on October 1, where objects – including what appeared to be at least one coin and a number of plastic bottles – were seen being hurled at the likes of Craig Bellamy and Luis Suarez.

A statement on the Everton website said: “The club is keen to take this opportunity to remind all supporters that the throwing of articles towards the pitch is strictly forbidden.

“Recent incidents have put the club in jeopardy of severe sanctions from the Football Association.

“Any person found committing such an act will be the subject of action by the club which may include a lifetime ban.”
