Everton have put a £10m price tag on striker Yakubu after rejecting a £6m bid from West Ham.

The Nigerian has been linked with a Goodison Park exit this summer, but David Moyes is said to want to recoup the majority of the £11.25m fee they paid Middlesbrough in 2007.

Yakubu revealed recently that he nearly joined Tottenham, but an injury scuppered a move to the capital.

Problem with the Yak is, he plays a decent first season for his new club and it all goes down hill rapidly. I will miss the yak but we have to get shut of him for a better replacement. I think 10 mill is a bit much but if we can recoup that amount its great business.
