Everton boss David Moyes has warned potential suitors that they will have to pay £15million for Steven Pienaar.

That is what the Daily Mirror are reporting today.  The South African midfielder has twelve months to run on his existing deal at Goodison Park and talks over a new deal have reached a deadlock.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is said to be ready to offer players in exchange as part of a deal, but Moyes will not take anyone who he doesn’t think will improve his current playing staff.

Alan Hutton, Robbie Keane, Jermaine Jenas and Jamie O’Hara are all being tipped to leave White Hart Lane this summer.

I would take 10 million and Jamie O'Hara, He would be a good swap for Pieenar and was by far the best player at Portsmouth and a natural leftie which is what we will be crying out for is Steven go's!

  2. bob says:

  3. Scotty doo says:

  4. macca says:

I would take pavlechenko and 7 mil

  5. Steve says:

Agree with Scotty doo, take the money and use it to get Moutinho.

  6. Glen says:

    5 mill for pienaar + Keane….
…how will Moutinho enhance our team?
we have arteta, fellaini, cahill, rodwell so i doubt he'd get in the team ahead of them…
.,.5 mill for pienaar, 7 mill for the yak to west ham, 3-4 mill for yobo…
    …sign david silva for about 20 mill…starting 11 next season :

    …………………………howard
    coleman….heitinga…..jagielka….baines
    arteta…fellaini…rodwell…cahill…silva
    ………………………..keane

and still we'll have distin, hibbert, saha, bily, osman, neville, baxter
    awesome team :)
    COYB…IMWT

Moyes would surely rather have the cash and go for Moutinho, but might be persuaded to listen to an offer that included either O'hara or Pavlechenko. None of the other Spurs players on offer would improve our squad – unless perhaps a stright swap for Lennon … not going to happen.

  8. BD1 says:

Jenas is nowhere near as good as Pienaar – not even in the same galaxy!! I'd take 5 mil plus Keane (proven goal scorer ) and O'Hara.

    Howard
    Coleman, Jagielka, Heitinga, Baines
    Cahill, Arteta, Fellani, O'hara
    Keane, Saha (or Big Vic)

  9. Gareth Fieldstead says:

No mention of Bentley. We need to replace what we had plus money. Bentley or O Hara only. I would not take either of the two forwards who are both average. I would rather try to sign Defour. Are the rumours true regarding the Yak? Sounds like good business if they can get 7 million for him!

  10. bluebelly says:

we dont want anyone else's shite !!…………end of

  11. Glen says:

i don’t understand why you all want us to sign a midefielder…we’ve got an awesome midfield 6: Arteta, Fellaini, Rodwell, Cahill, Bilyaletdinov, Pienaar,

if we sell peanuts…we need a striker…and then a midfielder if we have the time (and money)

  12. JayBlue says:

Glen nailed it!! We don't need 2 replace him we've got little billy 2 jump straight in that role.. he'll come good next season!! Get rid of Yak & Yobo and go spend a quality proven striker for about £20 million!! All's were lacking is a good finisher!!

  13. charlie boy says:

    listen listen listen
first off all we ant gd enough for the top four and we all know that……… so moyes has to make changes, if peanuts wants to go lets all hope he has a gd world cup so we can get about 15-17 mill or if it man shite we ask for 25 lol….. we need to sell the yak yobo vaugne and i even say hibbert n ozman (only in the team coz there scouse), sell them get mountino velso ben arfa im hearin all champion league players players that can change the squad we need to earn big to spend big as we all know blue bill got short arm long pockets…. no tottenham players would get in the everton team all money grabin and not worthy to play for the badge, just hope he dont get rid of players and take these cheap gambles on lower clubs

  14. Glen says:

    1-8-1***

  15. Glen says:

moutinho, veloso and ben arfa…3 midfielders?…are you ok mate…add that to the 5 we have….do you want us to play 1-81 or something?

  16. philip says:

we need at least 2 decent signings this summer. We NEED a left winger no one at this club can perform there. we NEED a prolific striker.

Right to answer the above call, we go Beckford so hopefully the lad will deliver its a big ask though. We also have a back up goalkeeper in Mucha. What we are missing if Pienaar goes is a left winger, a quality left winger…we need an outlet and Bily sorry to say is not it. Id be more than happy to sell him on if we can get a decent amount.

One of the major problems we have had over the years is the same old same old in regards to an outlet. We become predictable , playing it down the left through baines and pienarr…if one of those avenues are shut out, we really do struggle even with arteta in the team.

To break down teams we need to be able to get behind them, not pass ourselves into oblivion. We where guilty of that quite a lot last season…sideways passing with no progress. Look at the stupid draws we had..its clear what we need in this team and Moyes needs to deliver it.

I do believe Pienaar will stay at Everton, I mean where else above us can he play without being a permanent benchwarmer like lescott?
