Spurs and Chelsea want Pienaar
News | admin | March 29, 2010 at 3:51 pm
Spurs have been linked with a move for Steven Pienaar of Everton in the summer.
The South African winger has one year left on his contract at Goodison Park and will represent his country at the World Cup in his home country.
He is currently no closer to signing a new deal with the Toffees and Redknapp has sent scouts to keep tabs on the situation as he aims to bolster his wing options for next season.
Everton are expected to want around £10million for Pienaar, although this could drop depending on his attitude towards signing an extended contract.
If not, then Spurs will battle it out with Chelsea for his signiture, who have also been watching him.

pienaar is worth a lot more than the £10 million everton are supposed to want for him, look at the class of pienaar and the so called stars that rafa has signed for close £20 million to bring them to liverpool, one or two come to mind immediately reira and keane with the panel still out on aquilani.
Why do you give credence to tosh like this? Sure Chelsea and minging Spurs want Pienaar, so does everyone else including Bayern Munich.
You know what, they can't have him. Simple isn't it. Pienaar only a month ago stated that he had settled in at Everton very well and quoted as saying, he felt that this was like home now. He's happy, he's playing the best football of his life under Moyes and next season we will fly.
What I find really irksome is that when Everton put a run together, the alcoholics with English O levels down in London (who call themselves journalists), start the cherry picking of Everton's best players-every time Arteta has an outstanding game, oh he's going back to Spain to play next season. None of this stuff is researched, they make it, every single day in the hope that fools like you will print the damn stuff. Don't give it the time of day, nor these ne'er do wells who wouldn't know a real story if it smacked them in the face.
