Lawro predicts Everton to beat Birmingham City

BBC Football pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Everton will beat Birmingham City.

Last time out Lawrenson incorrectly predicted that Everton would lose 2-0 to Chelsea, when it ended as a 3-3 draw.

He told BBC Sport online: “Birmingham are a form team, like city rivals Aston Villa – they have won five straight games in the Premier League, although Everton will very much be lying in wait.

“The team that starts on Thursday night in the Europa League and the team that plays on Sunday will be completely unrecognisable.

“I think they will do enough on Saturday to win and stop Birmingham’s incredible run.

“Verdict: 2-1.”
